plans to ensure that event, a final one this millennium,
will be memorable.

To add to the festive
atmosphere of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, the
new Etisalat tower has been lit up. The
Etisalat Knowledge Tent is located adjacent to this
impressive piece of architecture, a landmark in the
Emirate of Sharjah.

Knowledge Tent, equipped with a total of
50
computers, will propagate the use of the Internet as an
medium of education.
The Team
A team of
academically, professionally qualified Etisalat Staff
will conduct courses for visitors on :
1. Emirates Internet
Service
2. Internet - Uses
and Applications
3. Protection Methods for
Virus and Piracy
4. Internet subjects related to
corporate, commercial
and
general interest.
Sessions
Students
from public and private schools, educational intuitions,
colleges and universities as well as employees from
Ministries, Corporations, Federal and other local
departments in Sharjah are welcome to visit Etisalat's
Knowledge Tent at Specially scheduled morning
sessions. Evening Sessions are open to the general
public.
Ladies Section
Dedicated
exclusively for female visitors, this section too, will
have special staff in attendance to provide assistance
and guidance on Emirates Internet.
Entry Fee
A nominal
entrance fee of Dhs.
5/- is collected from each
visitor to the Etisalat Knowledge Tent. The fee,
keeping the spirit of Ramadan, will be donated to
charitable cause in Sharjah. Etisalat, a socially
responsible organization, is very committed to
supporting community related events.
Daily Draw
All
entrance tickets purchased are eligible to enter the
Daily Draw which will be conducted at midnight on each
working day of the festival. a Total of 5 Etisalat Prepaid
Calling Cards worth Dhs. 100/- each
is up for grabs.
